The Subject Seen - Photography and Painting

This course is designed for those who wish to expand their knowledge in both photography and painting. Through exploration of the two mediums; you will come to a better understanding of how light, color, form, composition and concept affect your art. You will not be painting subjects from photographs, but rather will photograph, then paint the same subject. By comparing and contrasting the different processes involved in painting and photography, you will gain skills in seeing the same subject with new eyes. You will see how the camera has influenced the choices you make in your paintings, and vice versa. The workshop will provide you with a greater appreciation of both mediums, while also inspiring you to reach new heights of creativity.
