Mold Making

Bring in your original sculpture and learn to make multiples! In this class you will learn to make plaster and silicone molds, the kind used by model makers, foundries, sculptors, and other professionals. We will make plaster mother molds to support the silicone material and help hold its shape. Wax replicas of your sculpture from this class might be used in another class, such as glass casting or taken to a foundry for bronze casting. Sculptures are subject to size limitations.
