This class is an introduction to some of the oldest techniques of metalsmithing. Bring your ideas for jewelry pieces into being as you learn to form metal into desired shapes with the use of the torch, anvil, stakes, mandrels, mallets, and hammers. We will work with heat to soften metals and create pieces through stretching, bending and forming. Your designs, technical challenges and skills will be developed with supportive one-on-one guidance.
