The Torch!

In this two-day basic soldering workshop, we will learn how to fire up the torch for jewelry making. This class will use different techniques for soldering sheet metal and wire to create bracelets, pendants, or earrings. We'll start with how to set up, start, and shut down a propane/ oxygen torch and prepare metals for joining together. Then, learn the steps in fabricating and constructing jewelry with different types of metals, using different kinds of solders, and how to choose the best one for your piece. We'll finish by polishing our pieces to a lustrous sparkle to create wearable works of art!
