Nature on Leather

Let's get outside! After collecting and sketching some natural objects on site or from home, we will transfer the imagery or design to leather. Using a stylus, hammers, and a variety of stamping and dyeing techniques, we will learn how to make lines, textures, and impressions on this surface. Your work and designs can be functional or abstract, flat or sculptural- imagine anything from a flower design on a leather bookmark to a wall hanging. Come find out what inspires you and how leather inspires as a medium! No experience necessary. All are welcome.
