Drawing Fundamentals Session I

This class offers the basic building blocks of drawing in a supportive astmosphere. Students will learn the use of pencil and charcoal, eye-hand coordination, and techniques for translating the three-dimensional world into two-dimensions: how to see and what to look for. There will be sequential exercises designed in manageable components sequentially building on previous lessons, demonstrations, analysis of drawings of the masters, and constructive critiques. Having the opportunity to deepen these skills over the period of several weeks will enable you sustain your practice.
