Free Your Art (Stockbridge)

Held the last Wednesday of the month, a desire to be inspired is the only prerequisite for this class. Come as often as needed, one-time or monthly, to explore a variety of techniques for initiating new work, learning not only how to begin the conversation, but also how to continue the dialogue. Exercises will encourage developing your abstract vocabulary, but also provide those interested in representational work a means of generating material. The goal of these sessions is to keep you grounded in the practice, reminding you how to free yourself from your inner critic, trust your intuition, and open yourself to inspiration. Discussion, analysis of artwork, and use of demonstrations as needed will help grow your work. Ideal for the novice as well as the accomplished, to work on an existing piece or get going on new work. Take 10% off this class if you finalize your registration 3 or more weeks before the start date.
