Photographing Nature

Love photographing outdoors? Interested in developing your photographic style and refining your shooting practice? In this class, we will cover many elements of outdoor and nature photography, from identifying and capturing images to editing and post-processing techniques. Our meetings will alternate between classroom time and field trips spent photographing in local parks, farms, and open spaces. Our focus will be on creating images that speak to us and realize our vision, with an emphasis on feeling comfortable and in control of your equipment - whether it be a cell phone or a DSLR! Topics and assigned projects will cover topics like the character of light and use of color, as well as geometry and composition. An editing and post-processing session the last class will assist you in selecting and optimizing your strongest images
