Out of the studio, into the woods, and back! This week we’ll explore and are inspired by woodland survival skills in the creation of practical, artful and original works of art as we learn traditional bushcraft skills and techniques. Together we’ll make camp in the art studio, lashing tripods and crafting sculptures, harvesting materials and weaving baskets, making useful paracord accessories, carving utensils and tools, making birch bark containers and leatherwork tinder pouches, as well as clay cookware. Threaded throughout will be old stories and lore of the land and a passing along of our shared knowledge of nature. Early Drop-Off and Late Pick-Up are available to extend the day from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. $35/week for either morning or afternoon, $65/week for both.
