Comics Studio

Comics serve as a powerful tool for exploring our experiences and telling stories combining images and text. In this course we will review the basics of graphic storytelling: panel structure, rhythm, and the relationship between words and pictures. This is not a class for learning drawing techniques; the focus will be on the journey of creation. Using writing/drawing exercises, group work, and examples from contemporary cartoonists to inspire you and help find your voice, we will build towards the final project of a completed comic. This class is for all levels and requires no drawing, writing, or comic making experience.
