Artful Future Fund

At Berkshire Art Center, we’re focused on growing and sustaining artists through education - but more than that, we are cultivating a creative community and lifelong relationships.

With your support over the last year…

We’ve seen over 1,200 adults and children explore and refine their skills in the visual arts.

We’ve provided free art-making experiences for over 885 people.

We’ve uplifted the work of 55 local artists through exhibitions and gallery representation.

We’ve expanded and enhanced our studio spaces to widen the resources we can provide to makers.

Year after year, this is all made possible because YOU value the visual arts having a place in your community.

But, did you know that tuition covers less than 45% of our costs? And this year, that number decreased further because of our commitments to equity - ensuring the artists you love make a living wage AND our programs & studios remain accessible to all. That’s a fine balance - but I know we can do it because of donors like you.

Join us in achieving our $80,500 annual goal by taking action today - whether through a donation, a pledge, committing to monthly giving, or donating stock.

Together, we can create more experiences like “Anna’s” - memorable, long lasting, and transformational. Thank you for your incredible support!

“I loved art class! I still have a box of my projects!”

As a teacher, it’s amazing to hear those words from any student; it’s an acknowledgement that what they created with you was worth saving and represents a proud memory. But just recently, we heard this from an unlikely student. “Anna” was in one of Berkshire Art Center’s middle school programs ten years ago. She was struggling academically and had already been arrested at 14. She excelled in our art program but dropped out of school shortly after. We reconnected with her, now 24, after opening our new location - next door to the Adult Learning Center where she is now receiving her diploma. She shared fond memories of making art in our program and noted that the artist she worked with, “believed in her when no one else did”. Now, about 10 years later, that artist will be attending her graduation.

This year, we’ve put together a special series of video messages from board members, faculty artists, students and staff who wanted to share what Berkshire Art Center means to them with YOU. Click the button below to watch each video!
